Dual Windows Booting
How to have 2 windows (XP and Vista) on your PC? First you must backup every important data you have. It's very important to do a backup in case something bad happens. Now create a new hard disk partition (you'll have 2 hard disk partitions now). Use BIOS to make CD booting the priority. Now insert your Windows XP CD, install on the first partition. After windows XP installed, put in Vista or other operating system software and reboot. Install on the 2nd partition. After successful installation you'll have 2 operating system on your PC!

Tips to Reduce Eyestrain When Using the Computer
-Modify your workstation. Adjust your workstation and chair to the correct height.
Use proper lighting.
-Match the computer screen to the brightness of the environment. The contrast between the background and on-screen characters should be high.
-Minimise the glare. Use window shades, blinds or drapes to block excessive sunlight or install an anti-glare screen to minimise reflections.
-Take frequent breaks. Full-time computer users should take a 10 minute break every hour.
-Blink more often. Tears in the eye evaporate more rapidly during long non-blinking phases and cause dry eyes.
-Get an eye examination done.
-Re-focus your eyes. Look away from your computer screen every 10-15 minutes and focus for 5-10 seconds on a distant object.
-Exercise even when sitting. Move about or exercise frequently.
-Get sufficient sleep. Fatigue promotes eyestrain.

How to Combat Spyware
I'm sure many of you have encountered many Spywares such as when you open your internet explorer, it will direct you to some advertisement sites or suddenly your computer starts acting weird. I'll teach you some basic things to prevent and remove Spywares:
Signs of your computer is infected with Spywares:
1. IE (internet Explorer) goes to some weird websites like advertisment or porn instead of your usual homepage when you open IE.
2. Your IE has some funny looking tool bar.
3. Your IE always have popups.
4. Your computer is acting weird (example: hard disk lights keep blinking when your computer is idle, your firewall keep asking you to allow outgoing transmissions etc.)
5. Never seen before running processes (example: Iloveyou.exe) when you open the task manager.
If you have one of these symptoms you probably have spyware in your computer. Don't worry, here are some steps you can do to remove them.
Download LEGITIMATE anti-spyware programmes! Don't click on those pop up ads which tell you to download their anti-spyware software cause most likely they are spywares in disguise! Download those like Ad-aware and Spybot.
These programs will do a scan and remove them. Some of the spywares are very clever as they can come back again and again even after you deleted them. If so try to remove them in windows safe mode and after reboot check if they are still remaining by using Ad-aware or Spybot to scan or for experts, use the task manager to check for the same spyware process. If it is still there, consult the various antivirus websites like Pc-cillin on how to remove them.
Once done do check once every month to prevent any spywares in the future. Also to prevent infection, do not click on those pop up funny websites and use Alt-F4 to close them. There! a few simple steps to keep your computer clean!

Saving Up on Overseas Calls
For those who are frequent callers to overseas on the mobile, you must be frustrated by high overseas calling charge by your mobile operators. Why is it so? It's because other than the high IDD charges that the operator charge you, you'll also have to pay the OUTGOING minutes that you used for the IDD calls! IDD calling cards is not going to help you much either. I'm going to share with you how to reduce your overseas calling charges (applies to Singapore only):
Step 1:
Look at those PREPAID mobile calling cards (Hi!card, M card or Green card). These prepaid cards have FREE IDD CALLS to several popular destinations like HongKong, USA, China etc. You can make calls for as low as 8 cents per min!
Step 2: Make sure your intented calling country is included in the free IDD.
Step 3: Remember to compare the charging prices between the card on their websites and read carefully for small prints, cause some charges may be very cheap, but they have over charges hidden like for every call they will deduct a fixed cost first.
Step 4: Buy your chosen prepaid card and insert into your mobile phones and start calling to your loves ones!
For those who don't know about the calling charges of prepaid cards, the cost is 16 cents per min during weekdays (8 am to 7.59 pm), 8 cents per min during weekdays (8pm to 7.59 am) and whole day weekends!
Advantages of prepaid mobile cards:
1. Free IDD calls, charges are much cheaper to call overseas as they only use the local airtime charges
2. Autoroam ability, save way to call when you don't want to lose your subscribed line to overseas.
3. Your own phone sumber, each prepaid card is assigned a phone number
4. Bonus talktime when you top up certain amount and also loyalty bonus
Disadvantage:
1. Hassle of switching the SIM cards when you want to make an overseas call. (I recommend you get an old handphone for your prepaid card so you won't have to switch SIM cards.)
